Frequently asked questions

What is MCP? Do I need a developer to use it?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant — Claude, GPT, Grok, Perplexity — call real tools in your business software. With Biloh, this means an assistant can read your jobs, create proposals, send work orders, and record completions on your behalf. You do not need a developer: you paste a small configuration into your AI client once, and the assistant is connected.

Can I import data from my current tool?

Yes. CSV import for clients, sites, and contractors is supported today via the operator dashboard. Direct importers from common tools (ServiceM8, simPRO, Jobber, AroFlo) are being prioritised based on tenant requests — tell us during signup which tool you are coming from.

What about data security and Australian privacy law?

Customer data is hosted in the Supabase Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region. We default to Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Tenants are isolated by row-level security at the database level and every action is captured in an audit log. Read the privacy policy for full detail.

What if I outgrow my tier?

Upgrade anytime from inside the app — billing pro-rates and the new tier's features are available immediately. There are no contract lock-ins; you can downgrade or cancel just as easily. We will tell you proactively if your usage suggests a different tier would suit better.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the billing surface inside the app and your subscription stops at the end of the current paid period. Your data remains exportable. We do not pro-rate refunds on the unused portion of a month or year, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

What is included in MCP integration?

The full Biloh tool catalogue — operator-persona tools for clients, contractors, jobs, proposals, work orders, invoices, scheduling, and audit. All MCP integration is bundled at every tier; there is no separate AI add-on price. Visit /mcp to see the live tool catalogue and connection instructions.

How does the AI integration actually work?

You connect Biloh's MCP server to your AI assistant once. Then, when you chat with the assistant — 'create a quote for $client for next Tuesday, dispatch $contractor, and email me the signed PDF' — the assistant calls Biloh's tools through MCP to do the work. Every action is captured in your audit log, and the same operations remain available through the regular UI.

Do I need to install anything to use Biloh?

No. Biloh is a web app — open biloh.com.au on any phone or laptop, sign in, and you are running. There is an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) version of the operator surface that puts an icon on your home screen, but it is optional; everything works in the browser.
